Pipe bands belong to a musical and cultural tradition that stretches back hundreds of years. In 2016 that tradition is as strong as ever. All over the world you can find pipe bands performing in shows and competing in championships. One highly regarded band is the Inveraray & District Pipe Band. On the 23^rd of May they competed in the renowned British Pipe Band Championships. This is a hugely competitive event to which 15,000 spectators attend. Putting in an amazing performance (which you can watch here), the Inveraray & District Pipe Band were this year’s victors.

Where do We Come in?

You might be wondering why we should be so pleased about the Inveraray & District Pipe Band’s victory. Well, Keltic actually supplied the silk ties and personalised cufflinks that the band wore during the competition. We have in fact been supplying the band’s customised accessories since 2012, and in so doing our products have travelled the world as a part of the band’s esteemed performances. We’ve built a great relationship with this valued customer and love working with them to create accessories that raise their uniform to championship standard.

“Thrilled” With Their Band Ties

For the past four years, any time the band have needed an addition to their uniform their manager Jim Mcmillan has given us a call. In partnership we have then designed the perfect band ties and cufflinks for the band’s needs. The latest ties are black, with two light blue stripes and a matching blue logo. Both we and Jim think they look fantastic. The products, as well as our efficiency and friendliness, have obviously left an impression on Jim, as he had these kind words to say about us recently:
